I DO NOT want to pick up a book by my favorite authors and get reminded of it. If authors start writing FICTION books just to pound out their political views I'm going to take up a new hobby. I DO NOT read to hear more about politics. AND no, it really didn't make sense for it to be there. Multiple times: Under the Dome, The Stand and by the "other" kid The Fireman.but I actually liked all those books. (Of course, my kitty lapping up the water in the sink doesn't work.) He threw everything and the kitchen sink into this chunk and my dumb butt kept reading it thinking it would get better. I've read that King really needs a good editor. There were characters still being added almost up until the very end. There are so many people in this small Appalachian town that I stopped even caring who was who by about 10% into the book.
The characters, this is one of those books that King figured you might as well make every character known to man have a bit part. That shit right there alone should guarantee a five star read for me.
